The month!'/ meeting of tho Oxford W.C.T.U. was hold in the' Coronation Hall on Wednesday, when there was a good attendance of members. The president-was iv the chair. Votes of sympathy wen* passed to Mrs Clark, who has lost her sister, and to Mrs Thompson, in her illness. Final arrangements wore made for the address to be given by tho Mayor of Christchurch (Mr Holland), on Juno 12th. Mrs Hawke gave a report of her visit to tho Kaiapoi Council. A mooting of ■ tho Oxford No-license League was held ou Wednesday. There was a fair attendance of members. Mr K. Kippenberger /zave a report of his visit to tho Kaiapoi No-licenso Council, for which he was accorded a voto of thanks.

The second of a series of junior Band of Hope meetings, held under the auspices of the Oxford W.C.T.U.. was held m the Coronation Hail, on Saturday afternoon. The attendance was good, and a pleasant hour was spent. Mr Cule addressed the children, and several good items were contributed by them.
