JOTTINGS FOR FARMERS.

The monthly meeting of tho Amuri A. and P. Association was hold on Saturday afternoon. Mr K. Pettigrew presiding over a fair attendance. On the motion of Mr F. Foster, it was decided to run the affairs of the Association by a committee, to bo elected at the annual meeting. Mr J. D. Wylie, of Seftou, wrote stating that he had heard that his exhibiting in the draught hor so section had done the siiow harm. If this was so ho regretted it, and assured the xlssociation of his intention not to exhibit in futuro. Strong exception was taken to Mr Wylio's statement, and it was decided to write to him stating that tho Association would be very pleased to wolcomo him a_ an exhibitor at future fixtures. The president was appointed tho Association's delegate to tho Dominion Conference at Wellington.

The gross return would be £630, and if £100 covered the cost of reaping, threshing, sacks, etc., it would leave a surplus of £470 —not a bad bargain for purchaser, but disappointing no doubt to the farmor who had grown tho seed.

At a meeting in Waiau on Saturday evening, Mr E. P. H. Burbury, the local delegate to tho Farmers' Union Conference, *aid ho was greatly impressed by tho vast, amount of quod that was boing accomplished by tho "Farmers' Parliament."
