At the Ashnurton land sale on Saturday, the New Zealand Farmers' Cooperative Association sold, on account of tho Ash burton County Council, two reserves, situated at Fairfield. Lot 1 containing 50 acres, was purchased by Mr Mclnness. of Fairfield, at 4s per acre, and Lot 2. containing 33 acres 2 roods and 20 perches, by MrT. Harold, Fairfield, at the same price. Mr H. Stephenson, on account of the j Public Trustee in tho estate of Patrick » Owen, sold T.S. 10, situated corner . South and Cass streets, on which is erected a two-roomed lean-to, to Mr H. Davis. Ashburton, at £102 10s; and i-aere with 4-roomed cottage, fronting on McMurdo and Archibald streets, Tir.wald. to Mr Pooch, senr., Ashbur- ' I ton, at the same figure. I The leaso of section 31 block, 10 Lyn- ' ; ton Downs, containing 570 acres, was ; (te'.eg-aphs our Kaikoura correspondent) submitted for sale to-day. The pro--1 potty was drawn by the Jate Mr John ' Gil>son. and together with 454 sheep, i purchasod by Mr James David Bovd, of ; Carriek Finn, at £625. The purchase j is subject to Departmental sanction.
