There has been a fair amount of business in tho wheat market, with an improvement in the price of Red Tuscan, because oP its scarcity, but other wheats have only maintained the values of last week. The following are the net prices:—Velvet. 3s Hid to 4s; Red Tuscan, 3s lid; Redchaff 3s lOd Bordier\ 3s lOd; Velvet Ear. 3s 9»_; Tuscan, 3s 9d; and Marshall's White, 3s
9d. The oats market is weak, and only a small amount of business has been done. Holders in the country are not inclined to sell at present prices., but merchants are not disposed to advance. The following are the net prices for prime heavy lots: —Cartons Is 9d. A grade Gartons Is BJd, B grade Gartens Is 7d, Algerians Is Bd, Duns Is s 7d. There is little demand for barley. A small line of malting sold at 2s 3d, less commission. There is no improve- , ment in potatoes, and to-day's quotntion is 60s net, on trucks, but growers ' are not prepared to sell at the price, and merchants are not buyers under the circumstances.
