Tho Canadian Pacific Company admit that only 337 of the passengers and crew were saved. Tho total number of passengers was 1367, leaving the remainder either drowned or killed by the impact. An earlier message stated that 420 of tho crew and passengers wero taken from the lifeboats to Rimouski by the Government steamers standing by. The list of those saved is not known.
