A most successful concert was held \ii the Hornby School on Monday, in aid of.the school prize picnic: fund.. The proceeds. amounted to £4 10b. > Songs were given by the Misses Hill, Turner, Scrimshaw, and Ross, and ■ Messrs Bromley-t>mith, Drayton, Davidson, and Master Beavan; recitations by 'the Miisses Manhiro, Goodehild, .Durham, and Mr.' Shoarsby; instrumental jtom3 by Miss Conlter, Mrs Shirley and party, Mr Kidman, and' Mr Carver. Tho accompaniments wore played by the Misses Coulter, Beva.n, Kerr, and Manhiro, A vote of thanks to tho. performers brought a very pleasant, evening.'to a close. i
