It is announced that Lieut.-Colonol Braithwaite, General* Staff Officer at Auckland, will succeed Colonel' Heard as Chief of the Genoral Staff and director of staff duties and military training ; and that Liout.-Colonel CollinSj Adjutant-General, will be snoceeded by Colonel Chaytor, Officer Commanding tho Wellington District.

Colonels Heard and Collins, whose terms of office aro expiring shortly, aro returning to England.
