STATEMENT BY SIR RICHARD McBRIDE.

(Received May 28th, 10.20 p.m.) 'OTTAWA. May 28. Sir Richard] Mcßride, Premier of British Columbia, commenting on the arrival of Hindoos at Vancouver, pointed out that it was a singular coincidence that Hindoos were attempting to enter Canada when the Imperial Government was engaged in the solution of vexed domestic problems. It -was impossible to agree for a moment to the Hindoos' claim that, as British subject*, they wero entitled to enter British dominions. Canada, excluded even Englishmen if they wero deemed to ba undesirables. Canada freely admitted India's right to exclude Canadians, and arkod, in turn, that India should admit that Canada had a similar right.
