GRAND THEATRE.
There were attendances at ali sessions at the Grand Theatre yesterday, T-hen. a now programme* was shown. The star item is a drama called "The Crimson Stain. ,, This was a remarkably sensational story, and concerned the affairs of a wealthy banker married to a wife who is in love with her cousin. Some oi the lady's letters to her cousin get into wrons hands, and no ond of trouble follows. The banker is found killed, and tho cousin, by reason of having a red spot on his shirt-front, is Wrested for the murder and lodged in a lunatic asylum. Ho escapee and seeks shelter in a house where he buys a change of clothing from the inmates for a considerable sum of money. "While there he discovers evidence to connect those people with the crimo, and on leaving the house ho puts the police on their track. He then seeks out a certain shady nobleman who has been' tho 'cause of most of the trouble, fights a duel him and kills him. A number of very eood supporting subjects were also screened. "The Two Buna ways" (Kalem drama), a pretty scenic, •'Nice." and the latest "Warwick Chronicle" provide most of tho serious side of the programme, while two excellent comedies? "Adhesion" and "The Gusher" (Keystone) successfully supply, tho humorous element
