Tho final meeting of the Wharenui Bazaar Committee was held in the school on Monday evening, Mr E. J. Foster presiding over a very la-rgo attendance. Tho chairman, in moving tho adoption of the report and balancesheet, referred to tho enthusiastic workers who had inado tho function a financial success.

Tho receipts from the various stalls wero:—Produce, Me&damus E. Fine and Church, £30; refreshments. Mesdames Burgess and Mitchell, £26 3s; plain sewing, Mrs R. W. Hanna, £19 2s Sd: fancy work, Mrs H. H. Milne. £1S 14s 6d; novelty stall, Mrs Whithain, £12 14s 6d; flowers. Mrs E. J. Foster, £9 16s; woodwork, Mr Cullen, £4 Gs; sweets. Miss Luninii>, ,L(j st>; books, Master Alloj 1 , £3 9s Gd ; ice cream. Masters Stokes and Coombs. £2 £>s 3d; side shows, £1 0s Id j sundries, £11 Ss Bd.

Tho expenditure amounted to .£l4 14s 6d, leaving a credit balance of £'133 6s Id. The balance-shoot was audited and found correct, by Mr R. Mounsey.

On behalf of tho ladies, Mr Alloy thanked the chairman for the mauncr in which ho had treated them during the bazaar. A very hearty vote of thauks was passed to the secretary (Mr H". H. Milne) for the admirable way in which he had carried out his duties. Mr Coombs, chairman of the School Committee, then thanked all those who had worked so hard on behalf of tho School ComnJittoe. It was decided to disband the oomniitteo by holding a social gathering. A .committee was formed to a-ssist the School Committee to niako recommendations for tho laying out of tho new playground.

A motion was passed expressing regret at the death of Mrs Townend, and condolence with her relatives.
