LITTLE RIVER.
A social to Mr Randall Litten was held in the Little Rircr Town Hall on
Wednesday evening. There was a crowded attendance, and a very enjoyable programme was given. A presentatioD of an oak chair from the Little River people, and a silver mounted ebojiy. walkme-sticb from the Library Commit: teo was made to Mr Litten by Atr Montgomery during the evening, Mr Litten is a very old settler, and also an old resident, of Little River. Ho landed in Pigeon Bay in 1863, and has been resident in Little River for about thirty years. He was for many years librarian at the Little River Library, and has always taken a keen interest in its welfare. A very large mimbeT of old settlors turned up to bid farewell to Mr Litten.
