The Kai3poii Boron gh Council met last night, the Mayor (Mr J. W. Barnard) and all the councillors being present. The District Health Officer asked for particulars of the proposed high pressure water supply and sewerage schemes. To bo informed that they have not yet been adopted. It was decided to'aceept the Hospital Board's invitation to bo present at.tho opening of the Coronation Ward on June 3rd. Messrs H; S. Boydoll, H. Best, A. Blakeley, and others suggested that Coup's terrace bo formed, and that property owners bo given time to pay i heir. contributions towards the cost of the work. The matter was referred to the Works Committee and,a committee of residents. The receipts for the fortnight were £62 5s 9d. and the overdraft was reported to be £779 16s 6d. An advance to '3s 2d per yard for shingle carting was agreed to. The following committees were set up: — Finance, Crs. Revell (chairman), Robb, and Croft; Works, Crs. Garnett (chairman), Robb, Renaldi, and Dunn; Lighting' and Fir© Prevention, Crs. Bate (chairman), Williams, and Croft; Sanitary, Crs. Etherington (chairman), Dunn, and Williams; Reserves, Crs.
