LONDON, May 2-5,

At the Royal Colonial Institute dinner, Prince Arthur of Connaught proaided.

Others present included Prince Alexander of Teck, tho Duke of Marlborough, Viscount Bryce, Sir John Maddon, Six George Reid, the Hon. T. Mackenzie, General Hutton, the Hon. G. Fowlds, and the Agents-General.

Messages and greetings were received from Sydney, Melbourne, and Hobart,

Sir John Madden, in responding to tho toast of "The Dominions," detailed the Australian view of the Pacific problem.

Sir George Reid proposed the toast of "imperial Defenc6."
