' 'The annual social 0/ iljo Kirwee Cricket Ciub was held on Monday evening, and despite tho fact that "it was postponed from tho previous Friday, there was a largo attendanco of th« public. During the evening Mr 11. Gunn, on behalf of the Malvern SubUnion, presented tho clnb with the shield, they being tho winners of the competition. Mr J. Vaughan was the recipient of the bat presented by the president (Mr Boulnois) for the player with the best batting average during the past season. An excellent programme was provided by the following:—Mesdames Bedford and Moffat. Misses Burgess, Raima, Johnson, and Ross, Messrs B'.ackwell,- Belgrave, Stockden,-and Langley. At the conclusion of the concert the hall was cleared, and dancing indulged in till tho small hours of the morning.
