BOTH SIDES TAKING PRECAUTIONS. WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN BELFAST? (Received May 26th, 12.45 a.m.) LONDON, May 25. Tli6 Untdnisi volunteers in Belfast are making ready to be called out in caso of emergency. They are intended to bo used exclusively to prevent provocative incursions into Unionist districts.

Tho Roman Catholic clergy ard active, and aro exorcising a restraining influence.
Specially selected police from Wcstme&th County, who, have undergone special training, have loft for Derry. they aro armed with rifles. Thirty constabulary at Ross have been ordered to Dcrrv.
The Belfast correspondent of "The Times" says:—'.The passing of tho Homo Rule Bill will create a much more serious situation hero than is commonly believed. Cordons of volunteers mil be thrown across tho streets, forming a boundary between Nationalists and Unionists. Nobody will be ablo to penetrate the lines unless furnished with a pass. Tho measures taken will be a- irore serious challenge to tho Go* remment's authority than the landing of arms. If the Government does not take- measures to suppress tho volunteers' supremacy, the volunteers will be in full possession of parts of tho town. Every man in tho Belfast regiments to-day has a rifle.
