(Before Mr H. V. Bishop, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Four first offeudors for drunkenness were each fined 0.% in default 21 hours' imprisonment. Another first offender, found drank on tho railway station, was lined 10s, iv default 4S hours' imprisonment. James Oliver, a third offender, was fined 20s, in default soven days' imprisonment. - FEMALE OFFENDERS. Mary Sheedy was charged with drunkenness and soliciting prostitution. "Lpi. mo see her record," asked the Magistrate. "I know it pretty well, but still . Ono month's .hard labour!"
Carrie Corbett, similarly charged, said she had au ''invitation" to go to the Salvation Amiy. Home. She was convicted on the charge of drunkenness, and ordered to come up for sentence on the other charge, not to bo called on, provided she remained in the Home for three month*.
Annie Elizabeth Farrell and Myra Donaldson, both charged with being idle and disorderly persons, .each elected to go to the Army Home for six months, and were accordingly convicteJ for their offences, and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon.. Frances Curry was charged with being a rogue and a vagabond, and ths Army Homo also consented to take her for 6ix months. She was convicted and ordered bo come un for sentence when , , called on.
