SHEFFIELD BRANCH OF REFORM LEAGUE.
The annual meeting of the Sheflielcl branch of the Reform League was held on Friday evening. In spito of six inches of snow on the ground, thero was a representative gathering. Mr G. Wright occupied tho chair.
The lion, secretary, Mr D. McMillan, stated that tho membership and finances wero in a satisfactory condition.
The following officers were elected for tbe ensuing year: —Chairman, Mr G. Wright; deputy-chairman, .Mr F. W. Compton; secretary (hon.), Mr I>. McMillan ; executive committee, Messrs G. Wright, F. W. Compton, D. -McMillan, J. Cullen, T. Gray, J. H. Mcllwraith.
Mr George Sheat. the Reform candidate for Selwyn, and Mr, D. Jones wero present and addressed the meeting. A strong coinmitteo in connexion with Mr Sheafs candidature was sot up and evidences of strong support were received from tho surrounding district-.
Messrs D. McMillan and G. Sheat wore appointed delegates to tho Dominion Conferenco in July.
