KISSELTON.
During the past week the weather has been very bad. On Thursday snow began to fall, and on Friday the whole landscape was draped in whito. At Kisselton the snow was four inches deep, and higher up at Whakamatau quite six inches of snow fell. Tho coach arrived with only the mail on board, and the mailman had a struggle to get through. A goods coach is to be despatched from Glentunnel as soon as the weather clears.
The wiring team on the transmission line has removed its camp to Kisselton, I and work will be resumed as soon as j the weather conditions permit. Preparations are being made to light | up the cottages with electric light. A _ plant has been installed to supply the : current for working the crane in the > power-house, and it will be used to light the houses. Divine service was held in the school- j room on Sunday week. There was a . good congregation. The offertory was , : for the Church Mission Fund. J A wedding of local interest took place ; on Monday last, when Mr F. J. Not- > tingham was married to Miss H. G. : Pope. ' A football match, Staff v. Kisselton Club, has been arranged for this week. • A good game is expected, as both i teams aro in good form. j
