LONDON, May 22

Mrs Drummond was released after hunger-striking. Despite her weakness, sho refused to go to a nursing home, but wont to Mr McKenna's house and sat on the doorstep. The police rearrested her.

The police raided a houso in Maida Valo, arrested five women, and seized important documents and mauy bags of tliuts and hammers. It is believed that a window-smashing campaign was proposed as a protest against Mrs Pankhurst's arrest.

The "Standard" in a recent issuesays:—Having failed of late to raise sufficient funds to carry on their organisation without drawing on the slender balance, tho militant suffragists havo determined on a, new form of campaign. A special whip has boon sent to tho provinces for volunteers. Tho first great "movement" will bo madoon May 21st, when a procession will ho formed, and headed by Mrs Pankhnrst, an attempt will be mado to enter Buckingham Palace, in order porsonally to interview tho King. With Mrs Pankhurst will bo Mrs Dacre Fox and others, and an attempt will bo mado to enlist Miss Sylvia Pankhurst's army from tho East-end. Of course, most of tho bestknown leaders, being under tho. caro of tho "Cat and. Mouse" Act,- Trill bo in danger of re-arrest.
