A well-attended meeting of the Kaikoura Trotting Club was bold on Tuesday evening, Mr A. J, Marshall "(president) in the chair. Twenty new members wore, o'ectod. Corrosnondence includWl ooramnnii-atlons ftam tho Trottinif Association, notifying registration of the Club, and advising the necessity for early! selection of the day it w»s proposed to race. Labour Day was decide upon, na previously, agreed to by members. Some hopes were expressed of vising over £110 in states. The General Conunittee wer* empowered to draw up ro T es for subrrjiaajon to a, gen-ral aieetinsr of the Club within a month. Tbreo members wero oopoiut-d to c.->nfer with the Haoin? Club, and.tot with a 'iko number of that clvb in forrai'ng a deputation to tho Domain Board to ask that tbo courso be improved.
