VICTORIA COLLEGE.
PRESENTATION OF GRADUATES. (SPECIAI. TO "THE PRESS.") WELLINGTON. May 21. What was termed the "Public presentation of the graduates of Victoria Collego" took place in the Town. Hall this evening, and proved a somewhat prosaic and uninteresting affair. The bad weather prevented a good attendance, tho hall being only about half full. Sir lan Hamilton and the Prime Al'mister, each of whom received a hearty reception, delivered brief addresses, tho former oh "Discipline" and the latter on "The benefits of education." The Hon. Mr Hordman, who was chairman, alsj spoke briefly about tho College. TV graduates were simply presented in quick succession to the chairman and Prim© Alinister, with whom they shook hands, and then resumed their positions in the hall; There was some music, some singing, and then a dance. To-morrow tho students will let themselves go in their usual carnival. Tonight's proceedings wero most orderiv and the conduct of the students was exemplary. x
