MORE ABOUT PARNELL.
GLADSTONE AND THE IRISH VOTE.
WHEN THE DIVORCE DECREE WAS ISSUED.
("Times" and "Sydney Sun" Services.) LONDON, May 20. Mrs O'Shea states that when the divorce decrco was issued, Parnell said:—"There will bo a howl, but it will be the howl of hypocrites." Ho died saying:—"Kiss mc, sweet wife, and I'll try to sleep a little."
When sho was acting as Pa moll's intermediary with Gladstono and other leaders, Gladstone conversed with her, walking arm in arm down Downing street. He bargained for the Irish vote, and got letters from Parnell, dated from her house, -whilo Parnell, after leaving Lord (then Mr) Morley, told her that Lord Morley said: —"Can't you do something to 6tir up the people?"
When the exposure camo, Gladstone and others were duly shocked. Parnell was not angry, remarking:—"Tho old 6pider has nearly all my flics .in his web."
