Mr Carroll, speaking at the annual conference of tho Australasian Butter and Cheeso Factories' Association regarding tho quality of Australian butter compared with Now Zealand, said tho conclusions of ihe recent deputation which visited Now Zealand were a gratuitous libel on Victoria as a butter-producing State. Given tho same system of delivery of the milk supply, the quality of v ictorian butter would equal, and possibiy surpass, that of New Zealand butter.
