THE BALKAN WARS
VERY HEAVY LOSS OF LIFE.

LONDON, May 19
The Carnegio Enquiry Committee in connexion with the Balkan wars reports that all tho belligerents were guilty of atrocities. They brutally treated tho wounded and violated the international laws of warfare. Bulgaria had 153,305 men killed, and 104,583 wounded. The wars cost her £3,150.000. Servia had 22,000 killed, 25,000 wounded, and 45,000 invalided. Tho wars cost her £1,470.000.
To Greece the cost of tho wars was £1,170,000, and for Montenegro £207,000.
The above financial figures are givon as received, but they aro obviously wrong., It was calculated last year that the two wars cost Bulgaria £90,000,000, Servia £50.000,000. Greece £23,000,000, and Montenegro £300,000.
