A TOURIST RESORT.
AMERICAN OPINION OF NEW
ZEALAND.
THE BEEF TRUST
("Times" and "Sydney. Sun" Services.)
SYDNEY, May 20. The American Trade Commissioners consider that New Zealand is mostly fitted to be a tourist resort on account of its magnificent scenery. Tho high price of land, they state, will always be a.stumbling block to an activo immigration policy. In commercial. activity the factories of tbo Sunshine Harvester Company, in Victoria, and the Gear Meat Company, Wellington, aro a revelation.
Regarding the American Beef Trust, the Commissioners' opinion is that the higher tho price of meat, the better for Australasia as a producer. The man ■who invented the refrigerator was the greatest benefactor Australasia had ever had.
