WAIAU.
The Lyndon No. 1' and Tongue districts tondered a. complimentary "harvest home" social to Lyndon No. 2 Settlement on Friday evening. A programme of music and dancing was gono ■through, and enjoyed immensely by all present. One of tho AVandlo Bush runholdors has had twonty ewes worried by dogs, and threatens, in consequence, to shooc at sight any dogs caught interfering with his flock.
At "Waiau, from Saturday until Wednesday, 2.1-1 inches of rain fell. Five miles nearer tho hills over three inches was recorded. There wero five wet days, and Wednesday's t-unshine was welcome.
