PENINSULA DOG TRIALS.
The fecor.d day of the' Banke Penin»ul* dog trials was held yesterday. The weather was wretched, being almost aU day a con? tinuoue drizzle. The leading dogs put up fair performances, but token as z whole, th« work w»b of a moderate character. "■"" , The open "heading, bringing bade, »na yarding class was partly gone through with, but could not be fuu.ihed on account of tht loss of time due to the unfortunate weather. This class will be fitfiebed to-morrow, some seven or eight-dogs yet having to run. A social is being given by the committee to-night in the Town Hall.
