At the formation of the new Rugby League club in Chrittchurcb on' Monday night it was announced that. Mr T." L. Cowlishaw had been elected president. Mr Cowlishv? lias been connected with Rugby football for fome years, and if a vice-president of the Chriatchurch Football and says, that naturally lie could not accept a position fn a Leaguo Club. j • Messrs C. H. Croxton and P. C. Freeth. who were elected vice-presidents of tho League club, stats that in their case the election wae road* without their knowledge or consont."
