GENERAL HAMILTON AT WANGAN UI.

WANGANUI, May 19
General Sir lan Hamilton arrived at Wanganui this afternoon, and inspected six hundred Cadets, who took part in a sham fight. . .
The General also inspected a good muster of men who had seen service in South Africa, and a number of veterans of the Indian, Crimean, and New Zea<land -wars.
One of the oldest veterans, who saw a great deal of service, is bedridden, and General Hamilton, hearing of this, called on the old gentleman, with whom he chatted for some time.
In the evening tho General was entertained at dinner by the Mayor and citizens, and at a smoke concert by the South African service men.
