LONDON, May 19,

At the Royal Geosranhical Society's dinner, Mr Douglas Freshfield, the president, described Dr. Mawson's journey, from a scientific standpoint, as the most fruitful 1 of all Antarctic expeditions. Dr. Maivson responded to the toast of "Tho Guests." Finance, he said, was tbe rt'ai troublo of these expeditions. He hoped to give a preciso account of his journey on June Oth. The accounts hitherto published in London had been meagre.
