LONDON, May 18. '

Captain Thomas Webster Kemp, formerly .Commauder of the battleship London, sued Mr Yexley, editor of the periodical 'The Fleet/ for libel.

Captain Kemp's counsel stated that the paper appealed to the lower deck, and solicited crews for criticisms of their superior officers. The article on the London likened the conditions aboard her to the swashbuckling at Zabern. Captain Kemp., in his evidence, denied that the vessel was seething with discontent, but admitted that ho was notr re-appointed when the London was ro-commissioned. The case was adjourned.
