Senator Millen, who is the Federal Minister of Defence, announced in Australia a few days ago that an invitation had been received from the New Zealand Government for one or mOro of the ships of tho Royal Australian Navy to visit the Dominion. The Government, according to Senator Millen, has given a most cordial reception to the suggestion, and it is now. most probable that such a visit will be. arranged towards the end of tho year. It is hoped that' the whole fleet, with the exception of the submarines, may cross the Taeman Sea.
