Hally (Commissioner) presiding. The schedule of demands trhieh ifc is proposed to make into ,1 Dominion award, asks for an increase from ls'7d ! to Is 9d per hour, and material in- ! creases in apprenti?es' 'wages, also for i a 44-hours' .week instead of 45 hours. An amendment is also asked in several orher clauses. The emp'oyers counter-proposals are for a 44 hours' week and wages at the rate of Is 7d per hour, with the rest of the clauses based for the most oart on the terms of the carpenters' award .The Council discussed the proposals in committee. j
