PENINSULA COLLIE CLUB.
SEVENTH ANNUAL TRIALS. The seventh annual trials of the Banks Peninsula Collie Dog' Club commenced yesterday. The judge was Mr G. L. Rutherford, *of Mac Donald Downs. The weather was showery, and consequently the attendance was only moderate, ihe work done was not of a high order, the wet weather being against good working. Rssults: — Class I, district heading, bringing back, and holding in the ring—J. W. Clark's Dream. 27 points, 1: T. White junior's Mick, 21 points, 2; S. Lo Cointe's Mack, 19 points, 3.
J. W. Clark won the cup given by the preeident (Mr J. F. Buchanan) for the moat points for best style at the ring, also Graham. Wilson and Smellic's special pHze. S. Barclay's dog Dodger won the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Company' 3 special for best head, and J. W. Clark, Pyne and Co.'s special for farmers' class. T. White, junr., won H. Mateon and Co.'s special prize for second in farmers' class. T. Brankin won Messrs Maling and Co.'s special prize for third in farmers' class.
The Huntaway had not been completed when darkness set in.
