PALMERSTON NORTH, May 18. . General Sir lan Hamilton, accompanied by General Godley, inspected this afternoon No. 6 Area- Group of Cadets at Fitzherbert. The boys assembled at the show grounds and.marched to the scene of tbe manoeuvres, a distance of about three miles. Hera a plan' of attack and defence was carried out, 1036 cadets taking part. The manoeuvres wore watched carefully by \ General Hamilton. Ho criticised the -; delay on the part of some of the companies in the attack-, and also the halo? mg out of the scouts till the last, as they would havo been shot in actual war.
