THE AMOKURA'S BOYS.

Commander Hooper, of the Government training steamer Amokura, hae received a cable meseugo from a former Amokura boy, Harold Davis, stating that he has pasted his examination for a second oncer's c?rtilTcato, examination fox n eecond officer's certificate at Melbourne. Commander Hooper hea also received a fetter from another former Amokura boy, J. E. Walker, stating thai ho also has gained a eecond ohicer's certificate, and is now eecond mate of the British barque Atmilree, which arrived at Newcastle from Buenos Ayree on April 21st. A total of nine old Amokura boys are now in possession of certificates entitling, them to sail r,s officers.
