BOY STRANGLED.

At the inquest on tho boy Starch* field, whose body was found under * seat in a train, John White, a conar mcrcial traveller, gave evidence that he saw Starcbfield and tho boy on the Camden Town station about 2 o'clock on January Bth. Starcbfield dramatically exclaimed, "It's a damned lie." The Coroner, in summing up, said that was no evidonco to show that Starchfield had killed his son. The jury returned a verdict of wilful • murder against tho father. (Receive* January 30th, 11.50 p.m.) LONDON, January 30. Barry, a friend of the father, gara evidence that they wer© both in bed at 2.30 on the afternoon of the murder. Mrs Starchfield, recalled, affirmed that sho saw Barry in the streot at 12.30, and told tho landlady. When the father denied White's accusation, Barry also jumped up, crying "It's a lie, it might have been his double!" Tho Coroner, summing up, said there was no evidence against anyone, except tho father. After the verdict, Mrs Starchfield collapsed, sobbing piteously. Her husband tv-as arrested; he did not display any emotion. Starchfield served in the South African war, and has had 20s weekly from the Carnegie Hero Fund for his part y in tho Titus affair. j
