DOMAIN ROSE CARNIVAL.
PROFIT OF £57C 8s 9d. The Executive Committee of the Christchurch Domain Rose Carnival met last evening, when the statement of receipts and expenditure wns received. Mr H. J. Beswick, chairman of the Domain Board, was in the chair. . The balance-sheet showed that the total receipts were £1171 13s 9d, including sale of trip tickets £591 12s, donations £112 ,10s, and collection at gates £91 17s "7d. The expenditure was £GQo os. Tho sum of £500 had already been paid to tho account of the Domain Board, a credit baianco remained of £7(5 8s 9d. The balance-sheet was duly adopted. Before handing over the balance to the Domain Hoard) it was unanimously decided to present both Mr J. Young, the Dorrnin Board's caretaker, and Mr C. W. Hervey, secretary of tho rose carnival, with cheques of £20. Votes of thanks were passed to all those who had assisted in making a success of the carnival, and a special vote was nccordod the chairman, members paying, tribute to Mr Berwick's enthusiasm for the work.
