LYTTELTON.
(Before Mr C. Ferrier, J.P.) A NEIGHBOURS' QUARREL. John Orton Gebbio applied to have Richard Wakelin, jun., bound over to keep the peace, on the grounds that he believed tho defendant would repeat certain insulting and provoking language used by liim on December 27th, in complainant's cow-yard at Teddington. The defendant, for whom Mr Hunt appoared, denied having used the language charged against him. He admitted having used some hot words, which, ho said, had >occurred as a result of a. quarrel the day before. He had no intention of repeating the language, and would give his .assurance not to interfere with the complainant in tho future. The Bench said that a lenient view would be taken of the case, which was merely a neighbourly quarrel. Tho application would be dismissed.
