At Raleigh, North Carolina, a mob rushed the gaol in which Jim Wilson, a negro, was confined on a charge of murdering a whito woman. The mob got ahead of the State Militia, which had been despatched to prevent them breaking in. They hanged tho man from a tree and riddled his body with bullets. REVOLUTION IN HAYTI. CAPE HAYTTEN, January 27. The revolution is spreading throughout the north of tho island. A member of "Mr Paul Rainey's cinematograph expedition was mauled by a lion in attempting to photograph it, and succumbed. HYDROPHOBIA IN INDIA. ' CALCUTTA, January 28. A corporal of-Eiold Artillery at Bangalore died from hydrophobia caused by a bite from a pet monkey which had been bitten by a mad dog in June last. Seventeen others who wero bitten by the monkey have been despatched to Madras to undergo the Pasteur treatmeat.
