AVOX ROWING CLUB. The half-yearly genera , , meeting of the Avon Rowing Club w&3 held last night in tho club's hall at the boat-ehed.i. ( Mr H. Berry prceid«d over a good attendance. After some discu=eion on a recommendation from the General Committee to extend tho time for tho payment of reduced subscriptions to January 31 cV, it was decided to adhero to the existing rul«, which states that the subscriptions would be reducible up to Doceiul-er 31st. T"" , *! financial statement showed tho finances of the dub to be in a sound eUte. Tho rcoeipla for the half-year were £110 13a 3d, acd tho expenditure £150 Os 3d. There were outstanding subscriptions amounting to £71}. The estimated receipts for the rest of the season were £164, and estimated expenditure £144, and there Tfts a probability that the club' would havo a credit balance of £40 i3a at the cr.d of the season. Mr A. Fisher was, elected rice-captain rf the club for the season, and Mr S. Clothier was appointed a member of the General Committee. It yas.3 decided to amend the rule relating to the reserving of boats, to read that co boat oould be reserved on Saturday afternooco after 2.30 p.m. It was decided to hold tbe dub'e annual picnic on February. 14th. Mr H. Haskell gave notice of motion:— *"Th*t in the opinion of the members of tbe Avon Rowing Club it is to, their advantage to admit lady members."
