EX-STRIKERS REJECTED.

(press association telegram.) AUCKLAND, January 26. Memlvers of the new Waterside Workers' Union complain that stevedores are ignoring the preference clause in their agreement with tho employers. The executive of the union has decided to provide a button for members entitled to preference of employment to enable stevedores to distinguish them when picking gangs. This morning a number of members of the old union were refused admittance to tho new body. They entered the watersiders' rooms, but were ordered to leave, and after a little argument did so.
