NOTES.
Nominations for tho Tologa Bay J.C.s Annual Meeting close this evening. Mr T. H. Lowry haa disposed of Moddite (Royal Artillery—Quietest) and Biocade (Royal Fusilier—Pinery). The former is now the property of Mr P. Irman. Brocade, who was purchased by Mr G. L. Stead for breeding purposes, has already proved her ability to go fast and, being, bred as she is, should make a valuable addition to any stud farm. In a London "Sportsman" of recent date, i 6 is stated that Blue Baron and Young Highlander, two hunters owned by Mr A. Judd. of Blaynoy, N.S.W., have been purchesed by Mr T. K. Glencross, of Weston-super-Mare. Blue Baron was sold for £600, n-nd the other for £200. Tho price for Blue Baron is the highest ever paid for a hunter in Australia. This horse was tho first one in Australia to rcut up a properly authenticated record of 7ft. Young Highlander has also won several high jumps.
