HORORATA.

Heary rain started to fall in tho early hours of Friday morning, and continued until 8 p.m. Although it stopped harvesting for a while, it •β-iii benefit tho turnip and rape crops, of which there are some good ones in the district. Harvest is in full swing in the Hororata district. A good portion of tho oat crops are already cut, and wheat will bo ready in tho course of another week or so. There are some good crops of both wheat and oats in tho district, hut some of tho oat croi> on the heavy land are affected with rust, and the grain is not filling too well. Tho caterpillar has made its appearance in places, but so far no damage is reported.
