SUCCESSFUL REBELS
(Bj Cab'.e.—Jt*re*e Association.—Copyright.) LONDON, January 23. The Haytian rebels captured Gonives, a town with a population of ten thousand people. Practically the entire northern and western portions of the island are under rebel control. A severe battle was fought round Saint Marc. Tho result is unknown.
