MEETING OF SEAMEN.
QUESTION OF STRIKE PAY
(press association telegram.) DUNEDIN. December 8. A meeting, of tho Seamen's Union was held this afternoon. There was a good attendance, and so far as can be gathered, the best of harmony did not prevail at tiroes, due mainly to the presence of a small but noisy section of firemen and men from '"down under." One result of the meeting was that a committeo was appointed to deal with the question of relief pay, and members of Jih's* committee conferred to-night with the Strike Committee and two representatives of the Carters' Union. The object of the conference was to decide as to disposal of the relief funds, but the outcome of the meeting is not known.
