FEELING THE PINCH
.- (?MS9 ASSOCIATION' TELXCRAM.) WESTPORT, December 8. -. At a large and representative meeting of tho Westport Chamber of Commerce to-day over sixty members being present, it was resolved to ask the Union Steam Ship Company to send a steamer with merchandise to Westport, and to ask the Prime Minister to use his influence with tie company to this ?nd, the citizens guaranteeing the labour required. It is understood that the watersidere »-ill be given an opportunity to handle lie cargo, and failing their agreeing to o so, the importers themselves will «idle it.
