XO ALTERATIONS,

A Customs Bill was introduced in the House of Representatives this afternoon by Governor's Message. The Bill is merely a consolidation of the existing law, without any amendments whatever. For departmental convenience the Act is being put in better form. Sir Joseph Ward asked if the Minister would give an assurance that there were no alterations in the existing law, so far as duties were concerned, and no amendments giving power to the Minister to order any alterations in duties. .
