AN EXTRAORDINARY CASE. (PBSS9 ASSOCIATION* TtUJORAU.) FOXTON. December 8. A farmer named Jamoe Williams is under arrest on a charge of attempting to barn down a cottage occupied by his wife, and also* his own house. ■ It is stated that when, the building was alight, Williams knocked on the wall and aroused the inmates, who extinguished tho flames. Williams then rode to his own home, two miles distant, which, with the contents, was soon afterwards burned down.

. Williams gave himself up to the police, and has been reminded to Palmerston North.
