The "star' picture on tiie new programme to bo jsiiown to-uay and toiiigat at tiie yueen's Conmiuous i'letuie Theatre, ileierord stieot, is a Lubin dramagrapli, entitled, "Self Convicted." Jmi .\lciv.eii»eii, an industrious machinist, loses his position through retrencunient. To get money to save his mother's life he commits burglary aud is caught. Bail is granted, and he absconds. Eventually lie joins tue New York detective force, and is actually put on to his own case. He even studies his own finger-prints and Bertillon measurements. To repeated enquiries, "Have yon found 'Donver Jim'" from his• superior officer, McKefren replies, "Yes," and tells his story. The superior officer puts all tho papers connected with the case in the grate, and compels McKefren to put a match to them. The other new pictures are:—"A Proposal from the Duke" (Edisou drama), "The Vulture" (B. and C. drama), "Gaumont Graphic" (topical), "His Reward" (Lubin comic), and "Won ->n Wheels" (modern comic). Mr Fleming's Orchestra will play the latest waltz, "A Night of Dreams," which has been composed by Mr R. A. Home, the well-known manager of the Dresden. Progress results of the Lyttelton by-election will be thrown on the screen to-night.
